Coming from a large family of winegrowers, Samuel Billaud is recognized as a leading winemaker. A great connoisseur of the terroirs that surround him, an experienced taster, he made wine for nearly 20 years for the family estate and in just a few years made the Billaud-Simon estate a flagship of Chablis.
In 2009 Samuel left to build his own Domaine, originally with bought in fruit but eventually he regained control of part of his original family vineyards including some of the best sites in the region. Today, Samuel Billaud is committed to bringing these great terroirs to life by producing white wines recognized throughout the world for their precision, brilliance and intense minerality.
