Château Doisy Daëne, included among the second growths in the 1855 classification, is located on the Barsac limestone plateau in the Sauternes appellation. It has belonged to the Dubourdieu family since 1924. The vineyard is at the very top of the Haut Barsac, 17.2 hectares of vines (87% Sémillon and 13% Sauvignon Blanc) are over 40 years old bordered by Crus classés. Doisy Daëne is located on the clay-limestone plateau. This geological exception of the left bank has contributed to making the village of Barsac and its wines famous throughout the world.
The wines have their own special style, with bright fruit concentrated by “noble rot” as well as lively acidity, excellent balance, and delicate flavours. Doisy Daëne’s much-appreciated personality reflects both its excellent limestone terroir and a long family tradition of quality.
