In 2015 we founded the Massoc Frères Winery and since then we have been guided by affection for our Chilean and French roots, the faith in the Valles del Itata and Bio Bío and the desire to produce the best wines from southern Chile. Our mission is to produce exceptional, unique and honest wines that express the maximum potential of the traditional strains of southern Chile. Vinify each grape taking care of the best expression of its identity. Develop new products and explore new terroirs. Work with respect for nature, in close cooperation with traditional vine growers in the area and with our community.
The País grape was not historically considered a suitable variety for fine wines. A few years ago, convinced of the potential of the variety and the terroir of the region, I decided to give it a real opportunity and looked for the vineyards planted 100 years ago that we started working to produce grapes for high quality wines. With the best grapes, in the winery we carry out a vinification, aging and bottling of the highest standard. The results are an honor for me and my team. We have a wine that we call Grand País that stands out for its finesse, depth and structure. It is for me the Pinot Noir of Chile, and without a doubt it reminds me of Burgundy and its wines.
