Miles Mossop Wines was established in 2004 with the vision to create wines unique in character, expressing the true nature of South Africa and the sites from which the grapes are sourced. It is a family business with Miles Mossop as winemaker and viticulturist.
Individual vineyards are sourced from all over the Western Cape of South Africa with their potential to produce unique and exceptional wines specifically for the various wine styles and blends which Miles produces in mind.
The family range are the flagship wines of Miles Mossop dedicated to his family with each bearing a family members name.
Max 2020 is a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet franc from specially selected vineyards in and around Stellenbosch.
There is an intense deep dark garnet colour to this wine. Abundant aromas of ripe black berry fruits emanate from the glass. There are hints of dried herbs, tobacco spice and cedar in the background. The palate is generous with flavours of ripe blackcurrant and dark black berry notes. The tannins are firm with a grippy yet fine tannin structure. The mid-palate is rich and and full bodied leading to lingering finish of dried Italian herbs, cedar and tobacco leaf.
