A wine redolent of Portuguese sunshine, and the unique terroir of the Alenetjo. A blend of indigenous varieties, Aragones, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet from sites planted in the late 70s-80s on rocky, schist soils. the fruit has a jewel-like shimmer and glossy lift that is so beguiling. Plump, generously aromatic blueberry and blackberry compote on crunchy toast, encircled by some crushed violets and lavender, all resolving into a wonderfully mineral pinpoint finish. Effortless but attractively grippy – so much fun.
