Domaine Corsin have made outstanding wines since 1864. Today, sixth generation Jérémy Corsin is at the winemaking helm. Jérémy works alongside Edouard Parinet (of Château du Moulin-à-Vent and Domaine du Roc des Boutires fame) to run the business and manage the estate’s 14 hectares of Chardonnay vineyards, nine of which are in Saint-Véran.
The Mâcon-Villages is unoaked and sourced from fruit grown on north-east facing slopes at 200 to 280 metres elevation, in the villages of Davayé and Solutré. The grapes hail from one of the highest sites in the Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. 420 metres above sea level, this 75-hectare vineyard, planted on clay and limestone soils near the Sainte-Victoire mountain, is farmed with a biodynamic approach. Abundant sunshine and cool nighttime temperatures preserve natural acidity and aromatic complexity. The Mistral wind mitigates disease pressure during the growing season.
