From The Producer: Sebastián Zuccardi

We craft mountain wines. The Andes Mountains define the identity of our wines, playing a decisive role in shaping the climate, water, and soils. We believe that the Uco Valley due to its proximity is the area that best expresses this mountain identity within Mendoza. From the moment we began exploring its diversity, I was captivated by the austere richness and uniqueness of each of its villages. *Polígonos* is the expression of these Valley villages. These wines take us on a journey through these places, traversing their landscapes, climates, and soils. The grapes come from diverse locations villages inhabited by winegrowers for generations. Visualizing these villages on a map reveals shapes and edges: a whimsical geometry as diverse as the sides of a polygon, and as varied as the wines from each village.

Location The Semillon comes from old vines at around 1,200 metres above sea level in Tupungato, an area of Uco Valley celebrated for its pristine, cool altitude whites.

Vintage: The 2024 vintage was mild and dry, with slow, steady ripening. This resulted in excellent grape health and wines characterized by freshness, structure, superb natural acidity, balance, and elegance.

Winemaking: This wine was crafted using direct pressing and fermented naturally with native yeasts. Both fermentation and aging took place in untoasted 500-liter French oak barrels, and the wine intentionally bypassed malolactic fermentation to preserve its crisp, vibrant acidity.

“Of all winemakers in Argentina, Sebastián Zuccardi is arguably the person who has done the most to champion the Uco Valley’s different terroirs, seeking to express them as faithfully as possible in the bottle” writes Tim Atkin MW. That’s precisely what Sebastián set out to achieve with his Polígonos or ‘village’ range – wines that represent the different characters of each village.

A gorgeous nose of lime zest, white peach and wet stone, with just a gentle touch of creaminess on the finish. A serious white, with great energy and finesse.
