Pieropan’s estate covers 35 hectares of vineyard, all of which are situated on the stony hills of Soave Classico in the north-east corner of Italy. The Pieropan family have been producing wines in Soave since the 1860`s and work from three organically farmed vineyards today. They were the first producer to bottle a wine with the name Soave on the label in the early 1930`s, and this well-known wine made from the Garganega grape remains their speciality, along with a small production of Valpolicella they release each year.
La Rocca single-vineyard is situated on the slopes of Monte Rocchetta, behind the Medieval Castle which dominates the town of Soave. The vineyard benefits from a special microclimate which makes it possible to obtain a wine with a great personality, and a unique and unrepeatable bouquet. Innovative since it’s first release in 1978, it has made its mark in the area, becoming an undisputed symbol of quality and tradition.
